COLUMBUS (Terri Sullivan/Dawn Faugl) -- Days after he was indicted for killing his 8-year-old nephew in a drive-by shooting, a judge set a high bond for Robert Broom of Columbus.

The judge also had strict instructions for Broom in case he comes up with the cash.

"$750,000 surety. $750,000 appearance. Total bond is $1.5 million. If you make bond, which I don't think you're going to do, but if you do make bond, you are going to have no contact with any victims or witnesses in this case," the judge ordered.

Broom is charged with murder, felonious assault, and firing into a house. The charges all include gang specifications.

Police believe Broom initiated the drive-by shooting back in April, that killed Jamarion Cox. The boy was in the backseat of the car when he was hit and killed.

Three other adults and a 6-year-old boy were in the car with Cox when he was shot. No one else was hurt.

ABC6 has asked police if there would be more arrests in this case. They say the investigation is still open.
